In the film, she played a young woman who was married to a middle age man (the part Shah Rukh Khan is playing). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka was in 2010's 'Badmash Company" alongside Shahid Kapoor Meiyang Chang, Vir Das. It was met with mixed receptions. Anushka Sharma starred in the same movie "Band Baaja Baraat. She played a Punjabi woman from the middle class who owns her own wedding business. The film received a positive review and turned out to be an overnight success. Anushka had completed the three film contract with Yash Raj Films.
